Tewksbury State Hospital and Infirmary

This is the front of the Administration building. If you were a patient 100 years ago, this is what you would have seen as you were admitted. There is a "modern" hospital on the grounds which is still a functioning public health facility. There is a 14 day inpatient 2nd offender DUI program in one of the other 100-plus year old buildings. Several addiction programs occupy other buildings including a detox, a long-term transitional support services program for homeless adult males, a halfway house for men and women with substance use disorder, and and two halfway houses exclusively for women - one of which assists women with children.
